Job Description: Workshop Engineer
Working as part of a fast paced team in a dynamic and fast growth company the candidate should be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise, with good communication skills.
You will be part of a small, close knit and very busy team who go the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction. The successful candidate will be organised with a practical approach to problem solving along with a methodical approach to record keeping.

Main duties include:
• Assembly of DVRs/NVRs – installing hard drives and DVD writers using hand tools
• Formatting of hard drives and installing firmware updates on to DVRs/NVRs
• Entering details of DVRs/NVRs assembled in SAGE stock software
• Ensuring all items assembled are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Assist with basic testing of items returned (where required)
• Replenish stock daily and in the correct location for ease of access
• Liaising with technical department on issues regarding firmware or parts
• Liaising with sales team on delays or shortages to enable them to keep customers informed
• Liaising with line manager on issues that will effect assembly of DVRs not being completed
• Pre-commission CCTV/IP equipment according to details provided by customer
• Help keep the warehouse and workshop area clean and presentable
• Ad-hoc duties as required

• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative whilst still being a strong team member
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Customer orientated approach to problem solving
• Flexibility to provide support and holiday cover for the workshop and technical support team and attend out of hours training if required

Experience/Qualifications required:
• Very good computer literacy
• Proven track record of using your own initiative to diagnose and solve problems
• Experience of basic electronics would be useful but not essential
• Any CCTV and/or network experience would be useful but not essential as full product training will be provided.
