We would like to provide our customers with an update on DPD’s plans as we enter Peak season for deliveries due to Black Friday, Cyber Weekend and the Christmas period.
DPD are expecting Cyber Weekend and all of the peak seasons to be the busiest retail period on record. During Peak 2020, specifically from 23rd November to 3rd January, DPD’s premium services (by 10:30am and by 12pm) will not be available.
DPD will continue to provide an express next day service throughout what is expected to be the biggest ever retail period on record and this is a key step to ensuring that they can continue to provide their normal exceptional service.
This means that from the morning of 23rd November premium service will be removed from their online shipping system, and any parcels labelled for a premium service will be adjusted these to a next day service. You will only be billed for a next day and not a premium service delivery.
Customers will continue to get their notifications, including your one hour delivery timeslot and of course if you have downloaded the DPD app you will receive the ‘You’re next’ additional update.
