Role Summary

Working as part of a vibrant and progressive team, the role and reporting directly to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will mainly be responsible for maintaining and processing data and communicating with external business partners. You will accurately administer and process a variety of business data following departmental and business processes. You will also assist in the servicing of internal and external customer whilst applying a keen eye to detail it will be experienced in business administration in a previous role.

Purchasing and Logistics Manager

Main Responsibilities

Processing orders using Sage 200.
Completing queries and requests to satisfy internal and external customer demands.
Obtaining pricing information from suppliers and providing required details to the sales department.
Reviewing stock data and processing orders when necessary.
Overseeing and ordering office supplies.
Communicating, monitoring and reporting on the flow of goods into the business.
Reporting product defects to suppliers and other issues where necessary.
Completing monthly and weekly reports using both Sage and Microsoft packages.
Regularly reporting performance concerns and wins over supplier performance to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager.

Key Attributes and Experience

Experience in a similar administrative role.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent numeracy skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience of Microsoft packages; intermediate Excel skills are essential.
Change-oriented, with a strong focus on quality of service.
Experience of producing analytical reports is desirable.
Flexibility, working as part of a team and composure under pressure are key attributes.
