Job Title – Business Support Administrator with Advanced Excel
Location – Hybrid following successful probationary period
Role Summary
This is a full-time role requiring the candidate to be available between the hours of 8:30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
As a Business Support Administrator with Advanced Excel at DVS Limited, you will be responsible for managing and reporting data using Microsoft Excel. You will create and maintain complex spreadsheets, develop formulas, and ensure data accuracy to support decision-making across various departments. Your expertise in Excel will be critical in helping the company achieve its operational and strategic goals.
In addition to the invaluable Excel and reporting support you will provide, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of data within our Sage 200 software ensuring the correct data is imported into the system within a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
• Data Management:
o Create, maintain, and update complex Excel spreadsheets.
o Import and export data from various sources into Excel including Sage 200, SQL and Power Query.
o Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits and checks.
• Data Analysis:
o Develop and implement advanced Excel formulas, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and complex nested formulas.
o Create pivot tables, charts, and graphs to visualize data effectively to enable users to analyse large data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights.
o Support with analysing data to identify trends as and when required.
• Reporting:
o Prepare and distribute regular reports to stakeholders, including management and department heads.
o Automate reporting processes using Excel macros and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
o Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time data monitoring.• Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing Excel processes.
o Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate Excel with other software and databases.
o Provide training and support to team members on Excel best practices.
• Documentation:
o Document processes, formulas, and procedures for future reference.
o Maintain version control for all Excel files and ensure proper file management.
Key Attributes and Experience
• Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Excel-focused role.
o Proven experience with advanced Excel functions, data analysis, and reporting.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required).
o Experience with Excel VBA and macros.
o Familiarity with database management and data visualization tools is a plus.
o Ability to draw data from SQL databases.
o Power Query.
o Knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, such as PowerPoint, and Word.
o Sage 200 experience is desirable.
