Technical Support Engineer

Role Summary:

To work in our fast paced Technical Department this person is tasked with dealing with customers face to face, on the phone or via email. Tasks include system design/implementation, dealing with customer queries and issues. Main focus will be supporting the sales team and our customers with complex matters in a professional manner whilst maintaining the DVS brand and giving the best advice and support that you possibly can.


Main Responsibilities:

To provide telephone support to customers experiencing technical difficulties with CCTV equipment.
Log all calls within management software (Sage CRM) and record detailed notes.
Test functionality of equipment and associated components.
Communicate with customers in an efficient and professional manner.
Attend product training on new releases of technology (sometimes outside of normal working hours).
Develop good customer relations.
Working as part of a team and individually.

Key Attributes

Good technical knowledge of CCTV equipment and IP networks.
PC literacy.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good communication skills.
Problem solving.
Team player.
 
Experience
 

The ideal candidate will possess at least one of the following:

CCTV Installation/commissioning.
IP Networking.
Product knowledge of Hikvision equipment preferred but not essential.
